Dated 1978 and found in central Florida.
“Neal” is embroidered on the hand-painted velvet angel. There’s a small patch that says “male” included near the top edge. It includes the universal peace symbol. To the right of the peace symbol is a landscape depicting a mountain valley with a river running through it. Stars seem to drift out from the angel.
A quilt with a name embroidered on it, as this one is, might be considered as signed by some. But we have no way of knowing if Neal made this, or if its a commemoration of Neal. That the name is embroidered on the angel painting rather than placed in a more discrete place suggests that it’s commemorative of Neal.
